BSi announce fast track submission of BS 15000 to ISO

Today the British Standards Institution announced that BS 15000, the standard for IT Service Management, has been submitted for internationalization. A ballot will be required from 23 countries, this is expected to close around the middle of 2005 with hopes that the full international standard will be published before the end of 2005. The standard will be known as ISO/IEC 20000.
