Principal Consultant/Lecturer to open the HITS Process Seminars

The Helpdesk & IT Support Show is the definitive event for internal and external helpdesk and customer service professionals, IT managers and directors. It is taking place between 25th to 27th April 2006 at Olympia, London.

The international standard for IT Service Management focuses upon an integrated process approach to effectively deliver managed services to meet the business and customer requirements.

Fundamentally though it will be the people operating the processes that will be the make or break of certification and retention. What does ISO/IEC 20000 say about this? How can people make the difference? How can the Institute of Service Management [ISM] help organisations to demonstrate commitment to its people development? These questions and many more will be answered during the session. A short overview of the standard will also be given.

A brief profile of David follows :

David Clifford is a Fellow of the Institute of Service Management [FISM] and Vice President for Marketing and Promotion of the ISM. David has travelled around the world assisting organizations to achieve and retain the standard [including the North America, Africa, Continental Europe and AsiaPac regions].

He is recognized as one of the world's leading consultants and lecturers in this field with experience that spans back to the early days in 2001 of the forerunner to this standard BS 15000. He was also involved in establishing and promoting the itSMF certification scheme against which organizations are certified and has assisted the BSi with reviewing the "Achieving ISO/IEC 20000" series of books. David has presented at numerous events including the inaugural itSMF Korea conference in 2005.
