BS 15000 Certification Scheme LaunchedTuesday 1st July 2003 Today the itSMF announced the launch of the certification scheme for BS 15000, the world's Service Management standard. The scheme is designed to provide a structured, repeatable and consistent framework for certification. The award of the BS 15000 certificate follows an audit by Registered Certification Bodies (RCBs). The RCBs assess a company's capability to meet the standard. Where successful a certificate is awarded and follow up "surveillance audits" are performed every 6-12 months and focus on previous areas of concern/samples of the Service Management capability. On the third anniversary of the initial award the RCB will perform a full repeat assessment. As part of the scheme rules RCBs are allowed to assess but not recommend how any gaps should be closed, this is to maintain impartiality. pro-attivo fill this void by offering a streamlined set of services specifically designed to support your BS 15000 strategy.
